Hello, I am Susan Olij, welcome to my studio.
Olij Studio is a space to think, create and connect meaningfully with people.
Born in Indonesia in the mid 70's, I come from a creative household, my mother paints on textiles, and my Dutch step-father makes modernist sculptures for fun. As an adult, I have lived in a variety of places from the UK to New York City, summer's in Holland and the last 17 years, in Singapore. Throughout, I've never stopped making art.
I was an adjunct lecturer in LaSalle College of the Arts Singapore since 2010 and in October 2019, just launched a new short course there, titled "Travel Sketching".
In mid 2018, I store the studio and the home in Singapore, and started travelling the world, and in the process produced travel sketchbooks. I am now in the process of publishing my first book titled "The Slow Traveller's Sketch book ".
If you want to be part of Olij Studio activities and want to own this book when it launch in 2020, subscribe to my mailing list.
