Hawkers in Watercolours

Singapore, Tuesday afternoon, 2021.

This series started during the pandemic, a good friend told me about her grand father'’s hawker stalls favourites whom he has loyally supported for many years and how he swears on them as well as consistently evaluates their quality. It sparked the idea of going to sketch and explore hawker stalls around Singapore and in my way preserve the memories of these local hawker culture as they’re slowly dying with the older generation.

Singapore in well known in the world for its food. I am a self-proclaimed foodie so this is such a good project! If you want to be involved, I welcome your input. If you want to commission me to sketch one of your favourite stalls. Tell me more about them below, and I will be in touch.
